200 YEARS OF ARGENTINE ART

How many years are 200 years in terms of a human life?
How many lives dedicated to art add up to the age of a young Nation?

Based on an idea conceived by artist Guido Indij, with the executive production of Buenos Aires Photo, and anticipating the commemoration of the Bicentennial of our Independence, we are prepared to find this out through a studio photography session which will include leading exponents of Argentine art gathered together in heterogeneous groups, the ages of whose members will add up to 200 years.

The core idea in this exhibition is the extrapolation of the age of a country to the sum of the ages of the members of a human group.  Or is it not true that it is we the citizens who make up a country? This is a playful idea with which we are inaugurating our first 200 years of existence.
