In the framework of the Buenos Aires Photo 2009 Fair, American
Express will donate U$S 10,000 to the Association of Friends of
Malba for the purchase of photographic works.
For the fifth consecutive year, American Express will be the Official
Credit Card of the foremost photography fair in Latin America,
Buenos Aires Photo, in its 2009 edition, which will take place
from October 27 through November2, at the Palais de Glace.
In this framework, and as part of the “American Express /+
Art for the Malba Program,” the American Express Foundation
will donate U$S 10.000 to the Association of Friends of Malba,
and this sum shall be expended for acquisition of photographic
works presented at Buenos Aires Photo.
The participating works will be selected by a Selection Committee
composed by the Museum’s curators.
In this way, the American Express Foundation contributes once again,
through this initiative, to the acquisition of artworks by the
most important museums in Buenos Aires, enhancing the public patrimony.
Once more, American Express reinforces its commitment to culture.
